Scans stored job names for a leading “The” and strips it, so jobs sort by the meaningful word (“The Manor Club” → “Manor Club”). New jobs are already normalized at creation in the estimator — this is the one-time scrub for names created before that. Covers the backlog, pre-ops queue, proposal log, and the billing & closeout queues.
Only the display name changes — the job number and internal key stay the same, so nothing downstream re-links. A standalone leading “The ” only; words like “Theater” are never touched. Nothing is written until you click Apply corrections.
